West and North West of Crawley

 

The West of Bewbush Joint Area Action Plan, which allocates the Land West of Bewbush for 2,500 homes and other uses, was adopted by both Horsham District and Crawley Borough Councils in July 2009.

 

Since that time Crest Nicholson, the lead developer, has engaged with the local community to progress the delivery of the site via a comprehensive masterplan and establish key design parameters. One outcome of this consultation process is that the new neighbourhood has been given the name Kilnwood Vale.

 

A separate Kilnwood Vale website has been set up to inform the implementation process and provide further up to date information as the masterplan becomes reality.

 

In July 2010 a two-part planning application was submitted:

• an outline application for the whole site of some 2,500 homes with facilities and infrastructure
• full or detailed application for Phase 1 of construction; 291 homes and related infrastructure
